Cluster Box Unit (CBU)
A group of mailboxes stacked on top of each other, usually used in apartment complexes. They can only be accessed by the postal service and the person(s) who have a key to their mailbox.
Collection Box
Mailbox for tenants to use to send out going mail.
Commercial
Mailboxes that are used for larger scale mail deliveries in apartment complexes and businesses. These larger deliveries include packages and a heavy volume of mail.
Contemporary
Mailboxes with a streamlined shape.
Cylinder Lock
Secures the access door to a mailbox.
Freestanding
Mailboxes that do not need to be mounted.
Finial
Ball or cap that goes on top of a mailbox post.
Parcel Locker
Found in or around apartment complexes, a parcel locker is an alternative to a mailbox that allows a tenant to have a safe and reliable way to receive packages.
Pedestal Mount
Thicker mounts than post mounts used for heavier boxes such as drop-off boxes.
Post Mount
A stand or post that is used to mount a mailbox or a group of mailboxes to use for curbside mail delivery.
Private Distribution
When mail is delivered to a central location and then distributed to individual tenant or resident mailboxes by a property manager or similar individual.
Rear Access
Mailboxes that can be accessed from the back.
Recessed Mount
Mailboxes that can be set into a wall.
Residential
Mailboxes used for smaller scale delivery in neighborhoods, condos, and apartment complexes.
Spreaders
Allow you to attach more than one mailbox to a post mount.
Traditional
A style that is both elegant and reminiscent of the 18th and 19th centuries.
Transitional
Transitional style is a marriage of traditional and contemporary finishes, materials equating to a timeless design. Mailbox lines are simple yet sophisticated featuring either straight lines or rounded profiles.
USPS Approved
Mailboxes that are approved by the Post Office to be used curbside for delivery of mail.
Wall Mount
Mailboxes that can be mounted to the wall on a porch or the side of a house or place of business.
